PRS provides complete on-site construction and installation services for copper hydrometallurgy projects across Africa. We work from the early civil works stage through to final equipment commissioning - covering crushing, leaching, solvent extraction, electrowinning and tailings facilities.

Our construction model combines Chinese project management and engineering standards with local African labor and materials. The result: lower overall cost, faster delivery, full compliance with local regulations, and real job creation for the communities where we work.

This large-scale tailings anti-seepage project was fully completed in just 40 days. The scope included one layer of geotextile and one layer of textured HDPE geomembrane, covering a total area of approximately 550,000 square meters across the reservoir base and slopes.

We handle every stage of hydrometallurgical plant construction:

• Crushing & Leaching

Foundation works, leaching tank fabrication, ore preparation area construction and slurry pipeline installation. We build leaching circuits sized to your ore throughput and designed for long-term corrosion resistance.

• Solvent Extraction Workshop

Mixer-settler tank fabrication with on-site welding, reagent station construction, and full inter-stage piping. Our teams have experience building SX plants of various scales, with proper attention to leak prevention and phase separation performance.

We also handle the civil works for SX buildings - including concrete pouring for extraction workshop floor slabs and structural steel installation.

• Electrowinning Tankhouse

Copper Electrowinning Cell Installation | SX-EW Plant Construction Progress
 

Complete tankhouse construction: cell assembly, anode and cathode installation, cathode stripping machine integration, busbar connection and full piping layout. We deliver ready-to-operate EW facilities built to your production capacity.

Specific works include welding of electrolytic cell overflow ports, pipe welding, and launder installation by lifting.

• Tailings Management

This is one of our strongest areas. We do tailings dam embankment raising and compaction, full reservoir anti-seepage lining, and drainage system construction. Our geomembrane laying teams are experienced with large-scale projects and follow strict welding quality standards.

By using local labor and sourcing materials locally where possible, we keep project costs well below what you'd pay for a full international construction crew - without cutting corners on engineering standards or quality.

• Efficient Project Delivery

Our project management teams are experienced with African site conditions and know how to keep things moving. The 550,000 m² tailings lining project completed in 40 days is a good example of our execution speed.

We don't just fly in a Chinese team and leave. We hire and train local workers for every project. On the tailings lining project mentioned above, we had between 44 and 52 local workers on site at different stages - including geotextile installation teams. This isn't corporate language - it's how we actually work.
