Q1: Can this be used in strong acid environments like copper EW tankhouses?
A: Not recommended for areas with direct strong acid exposure or continuous acid mist. For high-corrosion areas like tankhouse walkways directly above cells, vinyl ester resin gratings are more suitable and will provide much longer service life.
Q2: What is the typical lifespan in a mining environment?
A: Usually 5–8 years in mild to moderate corrosive conditions. Actual life depends on chemical concentration, temperature, UV exposure and mechanical wear.
Q3: Can you produce fire-retardant versions?
A: Yes. Fire-retardant resin formulations are available upon request for applications requiring flame resistance.
Q4: Can the grating be cut on site?
A: Yes. FRP grating can be easily cut with standard tools to fit your specific layout. We can also pre-cut to your dimensions before delivery.
Q5: How does the cost compare with steel grating?
